Salernitana Close To Signing Inter Defender Lorenzo Pirola On Loan With Purchase Obligation If Certain Conditions Met, Gianluca Di Marzio Reports
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Campanian club are on the verge of getting a deal done for the 20-year-old.
Pirola had spent the past two seasons on loan with Monza, but the newly-promoted club declined to exercise a purchase option to sign him on a permanent basis this summer.
The Lombard team were still interested in signing the defender, but only on lower terms than those specified by the purchase option in the loan deal, and Salernitana also stepped up with a strong interest in signing him.
According to Di Marzio, Salernitana are not very close to finishing up a deal to sign Pirola, and the structure of the deal will be a loan with a purchase obligation that would be triggered if certain conditions are met.
